Despite the name this group wasn't French it was Japanese. P5, as they are known to their legion of devoted fans, were the godfathers of the Japanese kitsch-pop deconstructionist scene. Lester Bilbo has no idea what that means. All Lester Bilbo knows, or cares, is that P5 were Tokyo's coolest hipsters. Lester Bilbo fancies himself to be a cool hipster, so you see the connection.
